Apple Rose Tarts

What you will need:

  • 4 x Ready-made puff pastry sheets
  • 3 x Red apples
  • 5 Tbs Apricot jam
  • Juice of a lemon
  • 2 cups Water
  • Icing sugar

How to make it:

Halve the apples and remove core.  Slice the apples thinly into 2mm thickness and place into a bowl.

Squeeze lemon juice over the apples and toss. Add water to cover

Place in the MW4520 and cook on high (900W) for 4 minutes.  Drain and allow to cool.

Divide each pastry sheet into 3 pieces.  Spread pastry with apricot jam.  Lay the apple slices overlapping each other along the length of the pastry, then fold over the pastry lengthways to cover half the base of the apples.

Roll pastry into a rose shape and place base down into a greased muffin tin.

Set your MW4520 on Microwave Combination Cooking to 300 watts at 220 degrees fan assisted with bottom element for 15 minutes.

Engage Boost to reach temperature faster.

Place tray on the turntable and press start.

Leave to cool in tin for 5 minutes before removing.

Cook in 2 batches.

Dust with icing sugar to serve.
